Financial Advice that Makes the Complex Simple.

Kelsey Ruwe is the Chief Human Resource Officer at Carson Group, overseeing Talent, Human Resources and Corporate Communications. In her 13-year tenure with the firm, Kelsey has been instrumental in hiring, training and educating more than 200 employees.

When she joined Carson in 2008, Kelsey was responsible for local events, marketing promotion and HR. She has since risen in position, from Director of HR, Vice President of Talent and now Chief of Staff, directly underneath the Executive Board.

Kelsey currently oversees the construction, design and development of Carson’s new $80M headquarters in West Omaha. She heads the building committee and leads input for the firm.

Day-to-day, she focuses on Carson’s diversity, equity and inclusion efforts, as well as community partnerships and engagement. Most recently, Carson partnered with the AAAA Foundation, and will follow this by working with Omaha metro-area diversity organizations to make a larger impact in 2020. Kelsey also spearheaded the firm’s CODE membership through Omaha’s Chamber of Commerce and manages current relationships with Food Bank of the Heartland, Boys Town and Boys and Girls Club of the Midlands.

In the past fiscal year, Kelsey led 61% of Carson stakeholders to participate in philanthropic programs and events outside of company-sponsored activities. She puts an incredible focus on community involvement not only for herself, but others. Personally, she remains active in the Omaha community and various organizations. Most notably, she is the Past President of the Dreamweaver Foundation, whose mission is to fulfill life-long dreams for terminally ill seniors.

When not chasing her three children and yellow lab around the house, Kelsey and her husband enjoy running, golfing and planning activities with friends and family.
