About Emily

Anyone who knows Emily understands her love for Appalachia, the tranquility of being outdoors, the significance of stewardship within the community and her appreciation of the deep musical heritage throughout our region. Coming from a family of entrepreneurs, she is passionate about bringing high net worth clients a combination of personalized, yet disciplined, planning-based wealth management strategies. Emily understands the significant impact of having a strategic plan to help minimize taxes, manage the growth of wealth, and carry forward a long-lasting legacy in helping pursue both your personal and financial goals and dreams. Her mission is to give you and your family the best life possible using the global resources within Carson Wealth, backed by the integrity, honesty, and professionalism of everyone on her team.

Emily joined Carson Wealth after nine years of investment and wealth management at one of the largest, national wire houses. She is a graduate of Emory & Henry College with Bachelor of Science degrees in both Business and Chemistry. Emily also earned her CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ designation, which is awarded to individuals who successfully complete the Certified Financial Planner Board’s intensive initial and ongoing annual certification requirements.

Serving her local community and working with other professionals in a civic capacity is something Emily enjoys and you will frequently find her at many charitable and service oriented events throughout our region. She serves on the Board of Directors of the Birthplace of Country Music Inc., Highland’s Community Services Board for Bristol/Washington County, and the Emory & Henry Alumni Association.

Emily spends her free time with family and friends, enjoying time outside with her husband and 3 kids (1 son and 2 pups) hiking and spending time on the lake. She is also known to compete in an occasional family basketball pickup game or reunite with her Emory & Henry Tennis teammates for a tennis match.
