Empowering You to Make Educated Decisions.

About Michael

Previous work and life experiences have enhanced my ability to fully understand clients’ needs by really honing my listening skills. I’ve found that being proactive, keeping promises and providing the highest level of customer service are assets in ANY industry.

I graduated from Gruver High School and then attended West Texas A&M University (WTAMU) where I graduated with my Bachelors of Science in Social Work. While attending WTAMU, I began working part-time at the student loan servicer in Canyon, TX, where I quickly transitioned into a management position overseeing the Collections and Skip Trace department. I was responsible for leading the team(s) and ensuring that we assisted students to understand the student loan process.

After 9 years in the student loan industry, I decided to utilize my degree and was hired by the Texas Department of Family and Protective Services to work in their Child Protective Services (CPS) division. During my time with CPS my job was to help families remain as a unit before adverse actions took place. After sometime at CPS, I then went to work for Attebury Grain for a few months after which I realized that management was my “niche.”

I returned to management and was hired as a manager at AIG where I remained for the last 9 years before becoming part of the Carson team.

I have 3 siblings (an older brother, younger brother and younger sister). My parents have lived in Gruver now for 35 years. My dad is a farmer/rancher and my mom works at the local grocery store and does side jobs.

I enjoy traveling, hanging out with friends and family, listening to music, dancing, going to a good comedy club and laughing hysterically into tears (I truly believe that laughing is essential to a long and happy life). I also have a strong passion for volunteering and giving back when and wherever possible. I always like to say that I will try anything at least once. Life is too short, you have to live a little!
