Ted Swenson is an award-winning Managing Partner, Wealth Advisor based in Arvada, Colorado with 28 years of experience in the field.

Ted Swenson is a Senior Wealth Advisor for Carson Wealth, serving affluent individuals, families and business owners from the firm’s office in Olde Town Arvada, Colorado. With more than 28 years of experience in wealth management and financial planning, Ted is known for delivering thoughtful, highly personalized advice tailored to the complex needs of high-net-worth clients.

As a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™️ professional with a background in accounting, Ted combines technical expertise with a relationship-driven approach to wealth management. He earned his bachelor’s degree in accounting from the University of Northern Iowa and began his career with Honeywell after successfully passing the Certified Public Accountant (CPA) exam. While working as an Internal Financial Auditor, Ted traveled extensively and gained valuable experience analyzing financial systems and business operations on a global scale.

Recognizing that his true passion was helping individuals and families navigate important financial decisions, Ted transitioned into financial planning and wealth management in 1998. Since then, he has built a reputation for providing sophisticated, client-centered guidance focused on investment management, retirement planning, tax-efficient wealth strategies and multigenerational financial planning.

Ted believes exceptional client outcomes begin with understanding each client’s unique goals, values and vision for the future. He is committed to building long-term relationships grounded in trust, transparency and personalized service.

Throughout his career, Ted has remained active in his community, serving on several nonprofit and civic boards. He was also recognized by the Denver Business Journal as a Five Star Wealth Manager each year from 2014 through 2025.

Outside the office, Ted enjoys spending time with his wife, Carrie, and their son, Benjamin. Together, they enjoy skiing, golf, hiking, biking, travel and exploring new restaurants. Ted is also a lifelong supporter of the Iowa Hawkeyes and has enthusiastically adopted Colorado’s local professional sports teams as well.
