Landon DeCoursey – Associate Wealth Advisor
Welcome Landon!
We’re excited to welcome Landon DeCoursey as the newest member of our Murray team!
Landon joins Carson Wealth and he’s already making an impact with his energy, curiosity, and genuine care for clients.
His path into financial planning began in insurance, but he soon realized he wanted more than selling products; he wanted to help families understand their full financial picture and make confident decisions. That led him back to school at BYU Idaho, where he’s completing a degree in Marriage and Family Studies with a minor in Financial Planning. Along the way, he passed the Series 65.
At Carson Wealth, Landon supports the advisory team by preparing strategies, running analyses, and building dashboards that make meetings run seamlessly. He’s known for his thoroughness and creativity, whether it’s designing a bucket strategy, modeling asset allocations, or simplifying complex planning concepts into clear, actionable steps.
Outside the office, Landon is a devoted dad to his five-year-old son. He also enjoys weightlifting, swimming, and spending time in the kitchen experimenting with new recipes (ask him about his latest pasta attempt!). Around the office, he balances professionalism with humor, and he has a knack for making people feel at ease.
We’re thrilled to have Landon on the team and look forward to the many ways he’ll help families turn financial stress into financial confidence.
So next time you are in the office, make sure you meet Landon! You might leave with not only a fresh financial perspective, but also a new recipe to try.

Excell 2025: Financial Planning Corporate Training
Excell is a premier corporate training event specifically designed for financial planning professionals. This year’s event took place in Phoenix, Arizona, from September 8–10, bringing together advisors, planners, and industry experts for an immersive experience focused on enhancing skills, expanding knowledge, and sharing best practices in financial planning.
Attendees participated in a mix of interactive workshops, keynote presentations, and collaborative sessions aimed at helping financial professionals better serve their clients, stay ahead of industry trends, and strengthen their advisory practices. Excell provides a unique opportunity to learn from leading experts, connect with peers, and gain actionable insights that can be immediately applied in the field.
We all left the event feeling excited about the direction we are heading as a team!

Laural Jeppson – Director of Client Services
Recently my granddaughter spent significant time in Primary Children’s Hospital in Salt Lake City. During her stay, I was so impressed with the generous contributions of families, church groups and businesses in the community, who provided meals for any family staying for extended periods of time in the hospital. Day after day various groups donated these meals. Other from our office have also been the recipients of the amazing service provided at Primary’s.
So recently when our office decided that we wanted to give back to the community in some way, I proposed we donate a meal to the Ronald McDonald Family Center at PCH… and everyone agreed that we could really get behind that activity. It was enjoyable to think that other families could also enjoy the simple comfort of a meal right at the medical center… provided by others who previously benefited from this system.
We hope many families at Primary’s enjoyed our BBQ Chicken Salad, rolls, and sugar cookies!
