About Anna

Anna Fagan is a first generation Filipino-American who came from modest means. She was born in the Philippines and came to the United States in 1974. As a latchkey kid of the 70s, growing up in subsidized housing, she is proud to have been raised by a single mother who worked in a military chow hall.  Reflecting on her early years of life she considers these times some of her most defining moments, when she, her mother and sister had to make a way to adapt to a life in America.  She is deeply grateful to have witnessed her mother’s determination as she persevered through difficult times – a life-long impression that motivates Anna daily. Growing up in a military family, Anna was fortunate to have lived in Europe and traveled extensively, a formative experience that has had a lasting influence on her life.

Anna chose to invest in her education at West Virginia University, then at George Washington University where she earned her master’s degree. Her education journey continued into the financial industry and she quickly earned general securities, investment advisory, life & health licensure. She began her career and spent a combined 10 years at the financial firms, Merrill Lynch and Morgan Stanley.

She then served as Financial Advisor of Infinex Investments, Inc. and Director of Community Wealth Advisors, the wealth management division of Community Bank of the Chesapeake. During her time there, Anna led the development and growth of the institution to more than 10 times its original size and increased its profitability over her tenure.

An ACCREDITED WEALTH MANAGEMENT ADVISORSM professional with more than 20 years of experience in the investments and insurance industry, Anna joined Carson Wealth in May 2020 as a partner and wealth advisor.

Her focus is to develop lifelong client-advisor relationships that are geared toward managing the evolving markets and financial planning needs of the client, offering leadership to families through the wealth management process.

Anna proudly serves as a Registered Investment Advisory fiduciary to many multi-generational families, in the Greater DC/Maryland area, many of whom are business owners with complex estates. She specializes in delivering solutions that integrate sound retirement planning along with wealth transfer strategies in coordination with tax and legal advisors.

Beyond her responsibilities of wealth management, Anna enjoys international travel and family outings in the local Washington, DC area. She has been happily married for 20 years and has a 4-year-old son, Jackson. Anna is also active in the local community through her work with various philanthropic endeavors.
