Meet Shawndi

Shawndi has been in the financial services industry for over 25 years. She began her career at a large bank in Fort Worth and later moved to an independent financial advisory firm where she spent the next 9 years.  She earned her CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ designation in 2005. Shawndi and her business partner Brian Armstrong co-founded Armstrong Purselley Wealth Management Group in 2008.

While at Armstrong Purselley, Shawndi was the host of her own podcast called “You’ve Got This Babe,” discussing different financial matters surrounding women.  She also co-hosted the “To Retirement and Beyond” podcast with teammates Brian and Jeff.   In addition, Shawndi has written two blog series. The first blog, “Under the Influence,” drew on her own experiences to help others learn about money and financial issues.  Her second was a blog for women that complimented her “You’ve Got This Babe” podcast.

In the summer of 2023, Shawndi formally became a Managing Director, Partner, and Wealth Advisor with Carson Wealth. Of all her business accomplishments, she is most proud of the firm’s stakeholders and their continued dedication to provide a superior client experience.  Shawndi and her husband Jimmy live in Burleson where she enjoys raising a few farm animals, honey bees and growing a small vegetable garden.  Shawndi and her husband have four children.
