Thom Hall

Thom has been advising families and businesses on mitigating risk and managing wealth for more than 30 years. He serves as the current Managing Partner, and Wealth Advisor at Carson Wealth. In 2000, he founded Thom K. Hall Financial Group, serving families and businesses for many years before merging with Signal Wealth in 2018 and becoming a Carson Wealth office in 2022.

Thom is passionate about helping clients build customized financial plans centered on their values, goals, and vision for the future. He believes financial planning is about people, not just money, and works to understand what matters most to each client. Whether helping families minimize taxes, prepare for retirement, navigate market volatility, or create a business succession strategy, Thom is committed to providing thoughtful guidance and long-term confidence. He has extensive experience working with individuals, business owners, corporations, and federal agencies.

Thom became a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER® professional in 2002 and is also a Chartered Financial Consultant® (ChFC®). He previously served as president of the Utah Chapter of the Financial Planning Association and currently serves on the board of the Utah Chapter of the Exit Planning Institute. As a Certified Exit Planning Advisor® (CEPA®), he enjoys helping business owners increase the potential value of their companies and prepare for successful ownership transitions.

Thom and his wife, Liz Hall, Marketing, Specialist, live in Draper, Utah, and are the proud parents of six wonderful children and one son-in-law. Outside the office, you’ll often find him spending time with his family, serving in his community, mountain biking, surfing at Lake Powell, or tackling a project with one of the many tools in his workshop. He enjoys building, fixing, and figuring out how things work. A lifelong learner, Thom is an avid reader who is always looking for opportunities to grow personally and professionally. He recently earned his private pilot’s license, so don’t be surprised if you spot him in the Utah skies.
