Third Quarter 2026 Recap

As we head into the fall season, our team is wrapping up a busy and memorable summer. From time on the golf course and travel across the country to a new face on our team and year-end planning reminders, here’s a look at what we’ve been up to in the third quarter.

Community, Travel & Events

Summer golf was a highlight for Sam and Zach, who enjoyed taking clients out to Bos Landen Golf and participating in multiple charitable golf outings. Together, the outings helped raise money for organizations including the Christian Opportunity Center, PACE, Fellowship of Christian Athletes, 100 Men on a Mission, and others.

On July 20th, Sam and Jill attended an awards trip in Big Sky, Montana as recognition for being one of the top growing firms at Carson in 2025. We are grateful to our clients, whose trust and referrals make this kind of recognition possible.

On July 30th, Zach attended a firm-wide summit in Boston, MA, where advisors and operations teams gathered to connect and learn how to better serve our clients. Zach and his wife, Hannah, extended the trip to celebrate their five-year anniversary, which included lots of good food, walking the city, and of course a Boston Red Sox game.

Amy shared that her family had a great summer full of family, friends, and kids’ activities. With three of her four kids now back in school, they are enjoying being back on a routine again. The photo below is from their annual summer trip to Florida.

Team Update

On September 14th, we were excited to welcome Hannah Johnson to the Carson Wealth team as our Relationship & Operations Associate. You can learn more about Hannah in her bio on our website. Hannah will physically sit in our new second location in Rock Valley, Iowa, which is also where Sam grew up, but she will be serving all of our clients, so don’t be surprised if you call in and hear a new voice or get an email from her.

Hannah shared a few highlights from her third quarter: a fun, relaxing week in the Black Hills, moving to Rock Valley, and starting her new job at Carson Wealth. We are thrilled to have her on the team!

Financial Planning Tip

As we approach the holiday giving season, you may be wondering how your charitable gifts can benefit not only the organizations you care about but also your tax bill. Strategies like bunching charitable contributions into higher-income years, utilizing a donor-advised fund, or donating appreciated assets can help maximize the tax benefits of your generosity. With thoughtful planning, your holiday giving can be a win-win for both you and the causes closest to your heart!
